Cape Point (morning) You start the day with a drive toward Cape Point along a portion of the nation’s most scenic roads. Drive past notable Hout Bay, with ominous Sentinel Peak overhead, then along well known Chapmans Peak Road which connects Hout Bay with Noordhoek, twisting along the jagged bluffs flanking the Atlantic Ocean. As we continue, we visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you can stroll up to the historic lighthouse.
On our return we drive past False Bay and through Simons Town, a notable South African maritime base, and additionally one of the nearby ocean side resort towns, Muizenburg. Touch base back in Cape Town.
Stellenbosch Wine Tour from Cape Town (evening) Learn about Stellenbosch’s history through a strolling tour of the town. It’s second just to Cape Town as the oldest European settlement in the Western Cape, as the Cape Dutch architecture demonstrates. We’ll visit one of the nearby wine estates for a guided wine sampling session. There are a few wineries in the region, and the ones we visit will vary subject to accessibility.
