Nairobi Day Tour summary – Wonderful encounter with baby elephants on this reasonab short tour.
Being the sole Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi, the David Sheldrick Trust receives a huge number of visitors each yeah and its no wonder the focus of this day tour is on one of the best things to do in Kenya.
Feeding time is the best time to see these huge mammals and you can learn all about each individual elephant who was rescued here as well as learning all about the plight facing this beautiful animal. There are some souvenirs at the orphanage, some masaai with whom to take photographs and usually quite a large crowd will gather for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
It can take time to push through the city traffic so you will be collected at the hotel early at 10am for a thirty minute drive across town to David Sheldricks. Feeding time is at 11am at which point you will listen to the guide talking about the elephants. Your Nairobi Day Tour will end with you being dropped back safely to the hotel.
Collection time is 10am from your hotel and you will return in the late afternoon to the same place.
