Where you’ll go
Go on safari to see the Big Five — buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, and rhinoceros — on a 12-hour day trip from Cape Town. Travel only 2.5 hours outside the city to the Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve, where you’ll ride in a 4×4 vehicle guided by an experienced game ranger. After your safari, delve into a lunch buffet, relax by the pool (summer) or around a comfortable fire (winter).
What you’ll see
This is an all day tour, so first you can relax into your seat and take a nap or look at the wonderful landscape on this 2.5-hour drive going through the Klein Karoo and Cape Town’s wine province. Upon arrival, have a few refreshments and make sure to be completely alert and wakeful before transferring to a 4×4 safari vehicle to discover the Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve. Have your camera and binoculars ready for sightings of: bison, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, monkey, ostrich, rhino, springbok, warthog, and zebra. Find out about the landscape and the fauna and flora amid the safari. After your tour, we’ll return to the lodge for a buffet lunch and some time to relax in the gorgeous environment. Swim in the pool (summer) or sit around a comfortable fire (winter). Board the bus for the trip back to Cape Town.
When you’ll go
Departure time: Between 6:15am and 7am, depending on your hotel location.
Hotel pickup and drop-off (selected hotels only). Please be ready from 6am at the main entrance of your hotel.
Departure point: All Central Cape Town Hotels. There is a surcharge for pickup from all hotels that are not centrally located.
