What you’ll See
This multi day tour ventures along the beautiful Sirimon route on Mt Kenya, with some amazing encounters with nature and the outdoors. At that point it’s up over the Liki and Mackinder’s Valleys to Shipton’s camp where you can see flickering lights and dazzling views.
The Sirimon course is a fairly strenuous hike although you do not need any technical ability in terms of mountain-climbing to participate in this climb. Be that as it may, there’s no better way to judge a persons physical wellness so please do be advised this is for people who wish for some long distance hiking in Kenya.
You can find an incredible amount about yourself on this climb and all in all it is a fantastic multi day tour in Kenya which you will see natural beauty in a rural part of the country.
When You’ll Go – Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi City to Old Moses Campsite
Depart Nairobi hotel at 7am and intended arrival time in Nanyuki is at 10am at which point you can enjoy som shopping prior to the trek. You will also meet the porters and guide at this point before having some lunh and coninuing onward to the Sirimon Gate. Check in to the park and then begin hiking through rain forest until you reach Old Moses campsite at 3300metres.
Hiking distance: 9km Trek time: 3 Hours
Meals: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Old Moses camp to Shipton’s
After breakfast you will begin hiking across the stunning Mackinder’s and Liki Valleys until you arrive at Shipton’s Campsite at 4200 metres.
Hiking distance: 17km Trek time: 7 Hours
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 3: Hike to Point Lenana
Rise in the early hours at 2.30am for some tea and biscuits before starting the hike to Point Lenana at 4985 metres. This will take approximately 3 hours meaning you reach the summit at sunrise for some stunning views. Afterward you will return to Shipton’s Campsite for some breakfast before hiking back to Old Moses Campsite.
Day 4: Old Moses campsite to Nairobi City 2
Following breakfast you leave the park and return to Nanyuki for your transfer back to Nairobi (3 hours) arriving back in the late afternoon.

Other Information
This multi day tour Kenya climb is possible at any time of year and can be organised as a private tour if you do not wish to join those of which are already organised. It can also be taken as a 5 or even 6 day tour. You will stay in accommodation on the mountains which will be a Banda (Wooden Hut) so make sure to take your sleeping bag and mat with you. All meals are provided and prepared fresh on location.
